Day 194…

9.28.12

Here we are, it’s the morning, but you really can’t tell what time it is because it is still dark – looks like the days are really getting shorter already.  I can’t tell if it is because of that and rain, or just rain, but either way, it is rather tough to pull myself out of bed this morning.  Forcing myself to get up and go walk Riley before getting ready for work.  All signs point towards a cool and likely rainy day, but I hope that doesn’t mean we aren’t productive because it’s bleary day…

At the office, having my newly standard breakfast of oatmeal and catching up on emails and seeing what the day likely has in store for me.  I’m hoping it won’t be too bad so that I can make it back to my apartment with enough time to pack up some stuff before heading out to LI (I’m having my Agency out to the house on Saturday for a BBQ as a way to say thank you for al their amazing support)…We are busy, but it is not as bad as yesterday…

Having some lunch and working on finishing up a few things that we need to get out before the close of business today…it is not going to be a race to the end, but we are making a lot of tweaks to some creative because we keep looking for improvements…I like where we’ve landed.  The work is good.  Now to send off to the Client and hope that they agree…

Wrapping up at work and heading to the subway which is crazy packed.  There is a problem on the 4/5 so the 6 is overloaded with people.  Worst kind of ride home.  So it is.  I’m home and relaxing with Ri.  Waiting on Jordan to get here and then off we go…

Lots of traffic immediately once we hit the LIE…thankfully it clears up and we are moving at a good clip…until…the sky just OPENED up.  This has to be one of the worst rain storms that I’ve ever driven in in my life.  All the lanes of traffic have merged into one since no one can see 10 feet in front of them.  The windshield wipers can’t get the rain off the windshield fast enough and the sound of the rain hitting the car is really loud – funny thing is that RIley could care less.  She just goes back to sleep…Obviously the traffic has slowed to about 15mph, but as long as we are staying safe, that is all that matters….Jordan and I finally make it to my parents (where it thankfully isn’t raining yet)…Riley runs around the yard and we all sit down to a late dinner…

Everyone is turning in on the early side as we have to be up early to prepare the house for the BBQ tomorrow…

Night all…
