Day 191…

9.25.12

I slept really well last night which I’m attributing to the 4 miles that I ran and my overall fatigue.  Maybe the answer to getting sleep is lots of exercise, which would be totally fine with me as I can’t wait to be back in shape like I was pre-diagnosis.  Taking the good night of sleep and getting ready to head to work.  It is a drive to work day as my sister and I are leaving in the mid-afternoon to NJ for the holiday (have to be home by sundown for dinner).  With all that, it is going to be a race to the finish of work as we are yet again, quite busy…

Jumping right into work and seeing that it is going to just be one of those days where there is a frenetic pace in the office (it feels like a quarter of the Boston office is here today) and that always adds a new energy/vibe to the office.  I’m doing my best to get things done and add value where I can.  We are all still getting used to the new life post-Nicole so it is an adjustment for sure…

Having a working lunch and starting to get some things done…I’m very excited to get to my parents and see my pup.  My Mom told me earlier that Ri is doing much better so I’m really happy to hear that…back to focusing on work.  It is really tough to have the holiday right in the middle of the week because it makes everything feel rushed.  We will prevail as we always do…

Wrapping things up and heading to get the car…Jordan met me at the garage by my office and off to NJ we go…there is some traffic, but really not bad considering one could bet that everyone that needs to be home when we do has left at the same time…

At the house, doing some more work and hanging with the pup…she is so excited that she is running all over the house and of course threw up because her stomach is still not 100% – at least she did it on the floor and not the carpet.  Small victories I say.  Small victories…

We decide that instead of my Mom cooking dinner that we will pick up sushi from our favorite place in town so I can finally sit down to a huge sampling of one of my most missed foods.  I’m really excited…taking Ri for a walk while my Dad picks up the food…we got back at the same time and I am salavating just looking at the spread…first bite…oh…so…good…

I ate a ton of sushi and am stuffed…my Dad, Ri and I are off to watch the end of the Yanks game and then off to bed I go…

Wishing everyone an easy fast tomorrow…

Night all…
